CANDIDE
Directed by Richard Fredman
Venue: Robinson Theatre (Cambridge)
Paradise in St Augustines (Edinburgh)
An adaptation of Voltaire's satire, 'Candide, or Optimism', devised with Babolin Theatre and the alumni of Hills Road Sixthform. My role as designer was to unearth the visual language of the show through workshop and improvisation facilitation.
Not only did we create a five star Edinburgh Fringe show in three weeks, but we also provided a space for eleven young actors to grow into confident, playful theatre makers.
Shot and edited by Phyllida Hickish
